The practitioner:

does not diagnose mental health conditions

does not provide psychotherapy regulated under UK statutory bodies

does not replace medical or psychological care

Clients are responsible for seeking appropriate healthcare when required.

3. Client Responsibility

Clients agree to:

participate voluntarily

provide accurate information

take responsibility for personal decisions and outcomes

Results cannot be guaranteed.

4. Bookings & Payments

Sessions must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Bookings are confirmed upon payment.

Prices may be updated with notice.

5. Cancellation Policy

Minimum 24 hours notice required for rescheduling.

Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged in full.

Exceptions may apply in emergencies.

  • does not provide psychiatric or regulated psychological treatment

  • does not replace medical or healthcare services

Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical or mental health support when necessary.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • participate voluntarily

  • communicate honestly

  • take responsibility for personal decisions and actions

  • attend sessions in a suitable private environment

No specific outcomes can be guaranteed.

Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential except where disclosure is required:

  • by law

  • where there is risk of serious harm

  • safeguarding obligations

  • Professional supervision may occur using anonymised information.

Online Sessions

Clients are responsible for:

stable internet connection

Fees & Payment

📄 CONFIDENTIALITY & SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

Essenssia maintains strict confidentiality standards.

Confidentiality may be broken only if:

  • there is risk of serious harm

  • safeguarding concerns arise

  • required by court order or law

Where possible, disclosure will be discussed with the client first.

📄 SUPERVISION STATEMENT

The practitioner engages in ongoing professional supervision on both:

  • individual (1-to-1) basis

  • group supervision

Supervision supports ethical reflection, professional development, and client safety.

No identifying client data is shared.

📄 REFUND POLICY

Sessions are non-refundable once delivered.

Prepaid sessions may be refunded if cancelled with at least 48 hours notice before the first session.

Exceptional circumstances considered case-by-case.

📄 PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES POLICY

To maintain ethical practice:

  • Communication outside sessions is limited to scheduling/admin.

  • Social relationships with clients are avoided.

  • Messaging platforms are not for therapeutic discussion unless agreed.
